JOY Centers Board of Directors
The Chaves County JOY Centers, Inc. Board of Directors includes the four mayors of the municipalities in Chaves County (or an appointed representative) and one Chaves County Commissioner. Each municipality and the county appoint two other citizens from the area. One of these Members must have an interest in the quality of life of the Senior Citizens of the community. The other members must be a Senior Citizen.
Funding
Chaves County JOY Centers, Incorporated, is funded with Federal funds from the Older Americans Act, State Funds through the New Mexico State Aging and Long-Term Services Department, and Local funds. Local funds are derived from donations from private individuals, memorials, gifts, and fund raisers. Program income is also received through donations from participants to Congregate Meals, Home Delivered Meals, Adult Day Care, Transportation, and Housekeeping programs.
